The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid is a historical fiction novel about an older Hollywood star named Evelyn Hugo. It follows the retelling of her life and her many husbands of the decades of her stardom.
It also follows a journalist named Monique and what she learns about her own life from interviewing Evelyn. Throughout all of Evelyn's storytelling, it feels like your watching a film. Everything is so vivid and you feel like you're living her life.
Wow
The one thing I loved about this book, without spoiling anything, was a secondary element behind the story. It made it that much better. Also, the ending was so amazing!!
This book kept me sucked in from the moment I started reading it. Taylor Jenkins Reid is an amazing writer and I absolutely love her style. As soon as I finished this book I ordered her newest novel Daisy Jones and the Six. I can't wait to read that one either.
