A fast-paced read that will keep you on your toes!
The Getaway by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen is an Audible original audiobook that I got for free one month on Audible. I was in the mood for a thriller so I thought I would give this a listen. This audiobook is a little over two hours long so I was able to finish it in a day. It was interesting, to say the least, a cool concept but I think it had more potential to be a longer story. This is a typical thriller that makes you wonder what is actually going on but it turns out it was something slightly different than what I thought it was going to be. I won't go too into the characters, plot, etc because it was a short story and I don't want to give anything away.
I liked the suspense of the story when it finally got going but the end was a bit meh for me. I would say if you want a really short thriller that you can finish in a short time I would give this one a listen because it was at least compelling.
